  • Professional tree care and pruning is a delicate balance of art and science and takes years of education, training and experience to fully master the skill and art of a professional arborist.

The goal of any arborist should be to help trees be safe while maintaining their natural beauty. Please remember there are only three reasons to prune trees, 1) To make them safe for yourself and others, 2) To make them look better, and 3) To make them healthier. Pruning for any other reason is not only a waste of money but can have long term detrimental effects on the tree.

With professional tree care it is much better to be proactive rather than reactive. If you wait to deal with trees on a reactionary basis, it is often too late to prevent  damage. The best time to treat trees is when they are healthy and happy. Waiting until trees become sickly or a liability is not only harmful for the long term health of the trees but can also be extremely costly.

  • You may have seen someone confidently attacking a tree removal on their property. Thankfully for them and their neighbors, sometimes they’re successful. But there’s a science to removing trees without also taking out vehicles, fences, play structures, or even houses! In many cases a limb can swing in an unexpected direction and hit the operator or his ladder.  Please don’t take chances. Let the professionals safely take down trees that need to go.

  • Why bother getting stumps out?

Even though stumps eventually decay on their own, in the meantime roots can still grow and wreak havoc with your pipes, pavement and even foundation.

Those stubby little devils can also attract pests, mold and fungi. Eww!

So if you’ve got a strong back and lots (and lots) of time, you could hack off the roots and dig out those stumps yourself, but if you’d like to consider a much faster and less painful way, let us save you the effort. Give us a call.

  • A vital part of optimal tree care is making sure the trees are fed and cared for properly. At times it becomes necessary to supplement the trees with additional nutrients, minerals, and additives to ensure and encourage optimal health.  The best defense to any pest or disease is to have healthy trees. Healthy trees can ward off disease and pests but at times those trees need a little help.

Treating trees can be problematic if not done correctly. Trees need to be sprayed only when conditions are optimal.  It can’t be too hot or too cold. There shouldn’t be any wind, rain, or snow.  The person applying the sprays should know exactly what they are spraying for, what they are spraying with and how to properly apply the necessary sprays. Treating trees without knowing all of the critical details is not only unnecessarily costly but also hazardous to the environment and dangerous for the trees.

  • In a matter of minutes a fire can destroy homes and even neighborhoods. While as individual families we may have no control over raging winds and levels of forestry and water management, there is one thing we absolutely can do: Let Seven Trees help you create a firebreak around your home. Tree Trimming & Pruning

Why your trees might need a haircut:

  • Tree health: Pruning removes dead, diseased, or dying branches, which can prevent the spread of disease and decay.

  • Safety: Pruning reduces the risk of trees falling and causing injuries or property damage, especially during storms or high winds.

  • Appearance: Pruning can improve the overall appearance and structure of the tree, and it can direct the tree to grow in a more attractive shape

  • Growth control: Pruning can help control the size of the tree.

  • Fruit production: Pruning fruit trees can improve the size and quantity of the crop.

  • Sunlight and air circulation: Pruning increases sun exposure and air circulation, which can improve the tree's overall health.

  • Pest control: Pruning can minimize pest infestations.

  • Lifespan: Pruning can increase the lifespan of your trees.

Stump Removal

Why consider a stump removal?

  • Safety: stumps can be a trip hazard!

  • Property damage: a stump will eventually decay, but in the meantime roots can still grow and create problems with your pipes, pavement and even your home’s foundation

  • Aesthetics: unless you use them as a spot for placing a flower pot, they can be pretty unattractive. Removing them gives you more room for new plants and increases your curb appeal

  • Pests: termites, grasshoppers and ants tend to enjoy hanging out around stumps and then spread out to other your trees, shrubs, flowers and produce

  • Disease: mold and fungi will sometimes grow on stumps and spread to pets, kids and other plants in your garden

And sure, if you’ve got a strong back and lots (and lots) of time, you could hack off the roots and dig out those stumps yourself, but if you’d like to consider a much faster and less painful way, let us save you the effort!
